Week #15 Scavenger Hunt

First photos-adding shallow DoF: For these pictures I used and inverted radial gradient to edit the background with basic edits, but also lowering the texture and clarity, but making sure my highlights down become blown out. I then used a brush tool on the two flowers I wanted to become the subject/more in focus, and added texture, saturation, and contrast, along with a few other basic edits Second Photos-creating an over dramatic/hyper-realistic scene: Here I used a radial gradient to change the hue of the ice, and give in an over saturated color, but still keeping it blue to make it seem like an over-dramatic sky. I cropped the photo to get rid of the back driveway a bit, and I used the healing tool to remove the extra sheet of ice so that the main focus was the single icy spot in the pavement. I also boosted the saturation for the image as a whole, and the individual colors like the green grass by using the color mixer Third Photos-Melancholy mood: I used the high contrast black and white preset for these photos, but decided to make the whites and highlights darker so that the overall image wasn’t too bright and stayed somber. I used the brush tool around the candle to boost the texture and add more dimension, and again playing around with darkening certain parts. Lastly, I used a vignette to darken the edges and keep the candle as the somber subject
