Artist’s Statement (What you’ll photograph and why)

I want to photograph portraits on a more casual, almost candid level(?), to capture the joy and emotions different people experience each and every day

Photographic skills/techniques you will learn, refine, and/or master as part of this project:

I’m going to use this project to one, really refine my skills at using my camera to make the person the focus of my pictures, and two, master my ability to edit images afterwards to draw people in to the eyes and face of my subject and create emotions/reactions from it
